Local Public Libraries

Anyone with proof of New York State address can obtain a libary card and borrowing privileges any of the three library systems listed below. Anyone may use materials on premise.

  • Queens Borough Public Library
    Queens Borough Public Library has over 60 branches, with its Central Library in Jamaica, and large branch library in Flushing.
  • New York Public Library
    One of the premier research libraries of the world. NYPL includes both large non-circulating research collections as well as circulating collections.
  • Brooklyn Public Library
    Has sixty branch libraries throughout Borough of Brooklyn, with a central library at Grand Army Plaza.
 

Worldcat (OCLC)

Worldcat (OCLC) allows you to search the holdings of non-St. John's University Libraries, including all of the public libraries in New York City and its surrounding area.
